  • House or Senate Chambers: Watch government in action during a session or visit the chambers to see where the legislative branches of government work.
  • Supreme Court Building: Explore the home of the highest court in the land and experience an optional Supreme Court Lecture (Not available every day).
  • Library of Congress: Discover a world of knowledge within the nation’s largest library. See the beautiful architecture and décor of this amazing building.

Day 3

Presidents, Government, and History

  • Washington Monument: Visit the highest point in Washington DC.
  • National Holocaust Memorial Museum: Learn about one of the darkest times in history and about those who fought to preserve freedom.
  • White House: See the home for the President of the United States (visits to the White House require advanced reservation request through your Senate or Representative).
  • Ford’s Theatre: President Lincoln was shot here on April 14, 1865. 
    Peterson House: See the room where President Lincoln died.
  • National Archives: See the Declaration of Independence, the Constitution of the United States, and the Bill of Rights.
  • National Museum of Natural History: Explore our planet and beyond with mind-blowing exhibits. Touch a piece of the moon, see the Hope Diamond and much more.

Day 4

Government and History

  • Arlington National Cemetery: Visit the hallowed grounds and the final resting place for over 400,000 American Heroes. 
  • Iwo Jima Memorial (Marines Memorial): See the iconic monument depicting the raising the American Flag on the Island of Iwo Jima in 1945.
  • Pentagon 911 Memorial: Visit the location commemorating the tragic events of September 11, 2001
  • U.S. Air Force Memorial: See the memorial celebrating the United States Air Force.
  • National Air & Space Museum: Explore the history of flight from the Wright Brothers through modern space exploration.
  • National Art Gallery: Optional Visit to the Smithsonian National Art Gallery or the Museum of American Art.

Day 5

Government and History

  • Mt. Vernon: Visit the home of George Washington. Our first President was an innovative plantation owner.
  • Museum of the Bible: Explore the recently built museum which celebrates the Word of God and its impact throughout the world.
