Our journey begins with a visit to the Jefferson Memorial, dedicated to the 3rd President of the United States. We will also visit the FDR Memorial, which honors the only President to serve four terms, and the MLK Memorial, which celebrates Dr. King’s enduring dream of equality. After lunch, we proceed to the National Archives, home to the Constitution, the Declaration of Independence, and the Bill of Rights. The day concludes with visits to Ford’s Theatre, the site of President Lincoln’s assassination, the Smithsonian Museum of American History, and/or  the National Museum of African American History & Culture.

Day Two begins with a visit to the World War II Memorial, followed by a special visit to the towering Washington Monument.

A tour at the U.S. Capitol Building follows. The Capitol Building is the home of the U.S. Senate and House of Representatives.

The Supreme Court and the Library of Congress are both near the Capitol, making for a convenient short walk to visit both.

We conclude our second day of touring with a visit to the  Smithsonian Air & Space Museum, where you’ll delve into the world of flight and space exploration.

Our third day begins with a walk up the steps to the Lincoln Memorial, dedicated to the 16th President of the United States. Nearby, flanked on both sided of the Lincoln Memorial, we find the Vietnam War Memorial and the Korean War Memorial.

A visit to the Holocaust Memorial Museum follows our memorial visits. Here your group will have the opportunity to visit either the Permanent Exhibit or Daniel’s Story (better suited for younger audiences). After lunch, we head to Mt. Vernon, the former home and final resting place of President George Washington. The day concludes with visits to the U.S. Airforce Memorial and the Pentagon 9-11 Memorial, reminders of the sacrifice and resilience of our nation.

Our Final Day start at Arlington National Cemetery, where we’ll experience the “Changing of the Guard” or participate in a “Wreath Laying Ceremony”. Our next stop is the Marine Corps War Memorial or “Iwo Jima”. After lunch, you’ll have the option to visit the Smithsonian Museum of Natural History, the National Portrait Gallery, or the American Museum of Art

Following dinner, it’ll be time to bid farewell to Washington DC, taking with you not only unforgettable memories but also a deeper understanding of our nation’s history and identity.
